'Adipurush' breaches Rs 200 crore mark despite poor reviews

'Adipurush', directed by Om Raut, was released on June 16 and the film has managed to earn Rs 240 crore worldwide on its second day, despite poor reviews. Industry tracker Sacnilk reported that the film made Rs 65 crore on day two across all languages in India.

The film is facing a lot of criticism because of poor VFX and its cringe dialogues.

The film ranks on number 4 in terms of gross worldwide box office collections. It entered the 200-crore club with top three movies being RRR with Rs 222 crores, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion with Rs 214 crores, and KGF: Chapter 2 with Rs 164.5 crores.

The film, based on the epic Ramayana, features Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana. The film is made on a budget of Rs 500 crore.
