PM Modi hit back at INDIA bloc allies Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, both of whom claimed that BJP would not win more than one out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh. "Have you heard (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi is winning only one BJP seat of Kyoto (Varanasi) in Uttar Pradesh," Gandhi said speaking at a rally in Prayagraj on May 21.

Just a day later, Modi said that the INDIA bloc leaders were daydreaming while making the claim. "Both the shehzadas of Congress and SP are spreading rumors that they will win 79 seats in UP. Earlier, I used to hear that people daydream, but now I understand what it means to daydream. On June 4, the people of UP will wake them up, and then they will blame the EVMs," he said.
