Days after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that her party will support INDIA alliance at the national level, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that TMC and Congress are two sides of the same coin.

"Congress and TMC are two sides of the same coin. These people abuse each other in Bengal, then become friends in Delhi. TMC may be pretending to contest elections separately, but it is a partner of INDI alliance in Delhi. Don't the people of Bengal understand their two-faced character?" asked Modi while addressing a rally in West Bengal's Medinipur.

Notably, West Bengal Congress has been at loggerheads with the TMC even as the two parties share common goal at the national level.
