The first phase of polling for the Lok Sabha elections began on April 19. As the voting started taking place in 102 constituencies, voters started thronging the polling booths since 7 am. Among the enthusiastic voters, numerous newlyweds arrived all decked up in their wedding attires to exercise their voting rights.
From Jammu & Kashmir's Udhampur to Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar, newlyweds posed outside polling booths.
Accompanied by his friends dressed in traditional attires, a groom decked up in sherwani and colourful headgear was among the first to cast his vote at a polling booth in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur.
