Polling agents of LDF and UDF made a shocking claim that during mock polls in Kerala's Kasaragod, at least four electronic voting machines or EVMs recorded extra votes in favour of the BJP.

This matter was raised in the Supreme Court on April 18 by Advocate Prashant Bhushan, appearing for the Association for Democratic Reforms, during the hearing of the EVM-VVPAT case.

Following this, a bench comprising Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta passed an oral order, directing the Election Commission to look into the allegation.
