Congress has filed a complaint with the Election Commission against BJP chief JP Nadda, social media in-charge Amit Malviya and party's Karnataka chief BY Vijayendra over a video allegedly depicting Muslims in bad light.

The video shows Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBCs as three eggs and a fourth, larger egg, representing Muslims being placed in the nest by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

The animated clip further shows Rahul Gandhi feeding the Muslim egg, while depriving the SCs, STs and OBCs. In its complaint, Congress said the video aims to intimidate SCs, STs and OBCs against voting for Congress.

The Congress alleged that the video violates the model code of conduct.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier said that the Congress wants to redistribute the wealth of the people among the Muslims.
