The BJP has dropped its sitting MP and former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh from Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat.

The saffron party instead chose to field his son Karan Bhushan Singh from the constituency.

It is noteworthy that the party faced a lot of criticism after India's leading female wrestlers accused Brij Bhushan of sexual harassment.

Apart from Karan Bhushan Singh, the BJP in a list released on May 2, also named Dinesh Pratap Singh as its candidate for the Rae Bareli seat.
