'Downton Abbey: A New Era': The Crawleys escape to the French Riviera in sequel

The famous residents of Downton Abbey are returning and this time the family will be at the French Riviera.

The trailer for hotly anticipated sequel, 'Downton Abbey: A New Era' is out, and comes two years after the "Downton Abbey" feature film.

In the follow-up to the successful 2019 film, a spin-off from the international hit TV series, the Dowager Countess, played by the returning Dame Maggie Smith, has inherited a villa in the south of France.

Returning cast members include Hugh Bonneville as Robert Crawley, 7th Earl of Grantham, Laura Carmichael as Edith Pelham, Jim Carter as Mr Carson, among others.

'Downton Abbey: A New Era' is slated for release on 18 March 2022.
