The Federation of resident doctors' association is observing 'Black Day' on Tuesday to protest against the remarks made by Baba Ramdev against allopathic medicines.

Calling Ramdev's remarks “derogatory and distasteful statements”, the doctors body said that the protests will take place "without hampering the patient care..."

Ramdev called allopathy "stupid science" and claimed that more people died after taking allopathic medicines than due to Covid or oxygen shortage. His remarks triggered outrage among the medical fraternity that called for action against the yoga guru.

Under fire, Ramdev withdrew his comments.
