South African born New Zealand's opener created history as he slammed a double ton on his Test debut at the Lord's against England in the 1st Test. Conway battled on and almost carried his bat through as his 200 off 347 deliveries was studded with 22 boundaries and 1 six. He is the 7th batter in Test cricket's 144-year long history to score a double ton on debut and the 2nd Kiwi after Matthew Sinclair to achieve that feat. His 200 was also the highest score by debutant at the Lord's surpassing the 131 scored by former India captain & BCCI president Sourav Ganguly in 1996.
