Delhi wakes up to rainy morning, temperature dips

The national capital and several parts of north India woke up to light and heavy showers on Tuesday morning bringing a respite from the blistering heat. Isolated rains over Delhi and adjoining areas of Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad have been witnessed in the last 48 hours. The weatherman said a western disturbance over Pakistan and effects of cyclone Vayu are behind the moisture laden winds travelling to north India. Since Monday the temperature was hovering below the normal by several degrees.
