Delhi to add 1,200 ICU beds by May 10, CM Arvind Kejriwal says

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that currently almost all ICU beds in the national capital are occupied.

However, he informed that around 1200 proper ICU beds will be ready by 10th May. 500 ICU are coming up at the ground near GTB hospital and the main Ramlila Ground,  and another 200 at Radha Soami complex, Kejriwal said.

Earlier today, Kejriwal and Health Minister Satyendar Jain visited the Ramlila Ground to inspect construction work of an additional COVID Care Centre. They also visited a special COVID Care Centre that is being built near GTB Hospital.

Delhi recorded the highest single-day rise in its Covid-19 death toll with 380 more people succumbing to the infection on Monday.
