Delhi's 5-star turned Covid facility for HC judges, families, staff

Delhi's 5-star Ashoka hotel has been converted into a Covid health facility for high court judges, judicial staff and families. 100 rooms in the Lutyens' Delhi hotel have been reserved for the purpose. Govt order said that the Ashoka Hotel facility will be associated with Primus Hospital.

The hospital will run the facility and also handle the biomedical waste disposal. The staff of the hotel will be provided all protective gear and given basic adequate training, the order said. It will also provide ambulance for transfer of patients, while the hotel will provide services, including rooms, housekeeping, disinfection and food, for the patients.

The hospital will collect the charges for the use of the facility and it will pay the hotel.
