Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said that drug majors Pfizer and Moderna have "refused to sell vaccines" to the state government. He further added that the vaccine manufacturers have said they will deal with the central government directly. Kejriwal once again appealed to the centre to import vaccines and distribute to the states.
His remarks come a day after Punjab said US pharmaceutical giant Moderna refused to sell vaccines to the state directly.
Amid vaccine shortage, Kejriwal said on Saturday that his government was compelled to pause the roll-out for 18-44 age group.
