A new passenger tracking system has been installed at Terminal 3 of the Delhi airport to ensure social distancing, prevent overcrowding and reduce waiting time.
According to a press release by DIAL, the tracking system displays live waiting time, taken at various points like security check, on screens put up at different places.
The sensors on the ceiling help count and track passengers anonymously and the information is then provided to the airport operator. This helps the airport quickly identify crowded areas.
