India's single-day tally of COVID-19 cases crossed 800 on Saturday, highest in over four months, according to healty ministry data.
With 841 fresh infections in last 24 hours, active caseload has now climbed to 5,389. Among the state Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Gujarat reported the highest number of the viral infection cases in the same period.
While Jharkhand and Maharashtra reported one death each, two people have died in Kerala in the last 24 hours, according to official data.
