Cycling, running better than weightlifting for anti-ageing: Heart Journal

According to a study published in the European Heart Journal, endurance exercises like cycling and running are better than weight training for anti-ageing benefits. During the study, 266 young and healthy volunteers were observed and the effects of 3 types of exercises on the cells were studied. In those who undertook endurance training, telomerase activity and telomere length increased, which is responsible for regeneration of cells.
