Chennai Super Kings finally broke a 3-match losing streak and got back to winning ways as they thumped Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets. KL Rahul's decision to bat first wasn't a bad one as Punjab was off to a solid start. KL Rahul once again scored a half-century but Kings XI failed to up the ante in the death overs and settled for 178/4. Rahul's men needed quick wickets to defend a moderate total which was denied to them. CSK's faith in Shane Watson paid off as he smashed an unbeaten 53-ball-83. Faf du Plessis continued with his brilliant form and remained not out on 87. The pair comfortably took Chennai over the finish line and registered the 2nd highest 10-wicket run-chase in IPL history.
