In a landmark move, the CRPF on Saturday inducted women commandos for anti-naxal operations. 34 women personnel from 6 Mahila Battalions will undergo a CoBRA pre-induction training for 3 months. After completion of their training, the batch will be posted in Naxal-affected areas alongside their male counterparts. Talking abut the move, CRPF DG AP Maheshwari said that If we discriminate on the basis of gender, it shows our poor leadership qualities. He confirmed that after training, these commandos will be deployed in Maoist areas.
