Woman dragged by car: driver was Amit, not Deepak; didn't have driving license, say Delhi Police

More details are emerging in the death case of Anjali Singh who was killed after allegedly being dragged under a car for 13 km in Delhi.

Delhi Police on 5 January 2023 said that the person initially believed to be driving the car was not actually behind the wheel. Cops said that accused Amit Khanna was driving the vehicle, and not Deepak Khanna, as was being suspected.

Amit Khanna did not even have a driving license, as per police.

Cops added that two men, apart from the 5 occupants of the car, are facing arrest. The two other men allegedly tried to tamper the evidence, misinform the police, and help the main accused.

A total of 18 police teams are now probing the case.
