At least five participants from different Covid-19 vaccine trials have reported side-effects such as high fever, body aches, severe headache and fatigue, according to a CNBC report.
The five volunteers, three from Moderna's vaccine trial and two from the Pfizer trial, were interviewed by CNBC and deemed the discomfort to be 'worth it' for protection against the novel coronavirus.
The participants say the symptoms were intense but dissipated in a day or less.
One of the participants, a woman in her 50s, said while the first dose was 'no big deal,' you will 'need to take a day off after the second dose.'
Experts say short-term side-effects with some vaccines are common. Both Moderna and Pfizer have acknowledged that their vaccines can cause certain side-effects that are similar to the symptoms of mild Covid-19.
