German Chancellor Angela Merkel became the first world leader to receive a Covid vaccine cocktail shot.
Merkel took her first dose of AstraZeneca's vaccine in April, and on June 22, she received Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine as her second shot.
The 66-year-old took her first dose of AstraZeneca's vaccine in April, more than two weeks after German authorities recommended the use of the jab only for people aged 60 and over.
Merkel who is stepping down this year after 16 years in power had sparked concerns for her health in 2019 with a series of shaking spells. She has however appeared to be in good condition since then.
