The govt has extended the suspension of fights to and from the United Kingdom till January 7, civil aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Wednesday. The govt had barred UK flights till December 31 earlier in the wake of the new and more infectious Covid strain that was detected in the UK. A number of countries have suspended UK flights amid the new mutant strain scare. India has been testing everyone arriving from the UK between November 25 and December 23 when the flights were stopped.
