The 2nd ODI between West Indies and Australia was called off on Thursday, just minutes before the match, by the West Indies Cricket board.

The match was postponed after a positive Covid-19 case was confirmed. The players, support staff, and match officials were informed after the toss happened at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

West Indies cricket in its official statement revealed that a non-playing member of the Windies camp had contracted the virus and as per protocols both teams have been isolated and they will now take the RT-PCR test.

They also said that the decision on when the match will be replayed will be taken on a later date after all the tests of the players and staff are confirmed. Due to the Covid scare, doubts now hover over the third ODI between the two nations scheduled to be played on Saturday.
