The partial coronavirus curfew imposed by the UP government has been extended again until May 17. The Yogi Adityanath led govt extended the curfew thrice before owing to the sharp spike in the Covid-19 cases in the state. As per the guidelines issued by the state govt, all social-political and educational gatherings will remain suspended and the eateries, markets, religious places, and malls will also remain shut until May 17. The state has been witnessing a rapid surge in cases since mid-March. Nearly 27,000 fresh cases and 298 deaths were recorded in UP in the last 24-hours.
