Hearing a petition seeking a stay on the Central Vista’s construction in the national capital, the Centre assured the Delhi High Court that all necessary Covid precautions were being followed for the safety of the workers.
Addressing issues of the site becoming a “super spreader”, the government said all workers are staying at the construction site and were being provided with health insurance and a separate facility had been created for RT-PCR tests, isolation and medical aid.
Centre rubbished the petition saying constant efforts to maintain safety have been made since the inception of the project and the plea was “sheer abuse of the law". Centre assured that the project will meet its deadline of November 2021.
