India logged a record spike in Covid cases for the third straight day with nearly 1.32 lakh cases in 24 hours, health ministry data released on Friday morning showed. This is the fourth time in five days when India has reported over one lakh new cases.
Active caseload is now nearing 10 lakh amid a steep surge in Covid cases. The country has also recorded 780 deaths due to the virus in 24 hours.
According to the govt data, close to 37 lakh Covid vaccine doses were administered on Thursday taking the total number of vaccinations to nearly 9.5 crore.
