India's 6-match limited-overs series vs Sri Lanka, which was scheduled to begin on July 13 in Colombo, has been rescheduled.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah confirmed that the series has been deferred by 5 days due to Covid-19 cases in the Sri Lankan camp. As per the revised itinerary, the first ODI will now be be held on July 18. Reportedly, Sri Lanka cricket extended the quarantine time of its players as a precautionary measure and sent the revised schedule to the BCCI and the broadcasters on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Indian team has isolated itself in the hotel nd BCCI is keeping all options on the tour open, depending upon the number of Covid-19 cases in the Lankan camp.
