CounterPoint Research: Apple led global smartphone sales in Q4 2020

An analysis by Counterpoint Research has said that Apple led Global Smartphone Shipments in Q4 2020. The tech giant shipped 81.9 million smartphones in the last quarter and reportedly boosted sales due to the latest 5G-enabled iPhone models. To recall, Apple had recently reported its most profitable quarter, posting an all-time record revenue of $111.4 billion, an increase of 21% year-over-year. CEO Tim Cook reported that the firm doubled its business in India in the last quarter, despite having a low market share in the country.
