BJP president J P Nadda on Tuesday released the party’s manifesto in Guwahati for the Assam polls. The party has made 10 commitments, including working towards a “corrected NRC”, which would protect “genuine Indian citizens” and “detect infiltrated people”.
Promising to make Assam the fastest job creator state in the country, the BJP has committed to provide 2 lakh jobs in the public sector, of which 1 lakh will get jobs by March 31, 2022. It has also promised to provide 8 lakh jobs in private sector.
The party has also listed "Mission Brahmaputra" as its top priority. Under the mission, the BJP will build big reservoirs around Bramhaputra to conserve extra water and save the people from floods.
