We might have recovered from Cholera's snatches decades ago, but the ancient disease seems to have resurfaced. Last year, the WHO declared an ongoing outbreak in Yemen as the worst recorded in history with over a million cases reported, and 2500 deaths since 2016. The water-borne disease is now spreading to other African countries that face water shortages. A deadly disease that originated in India, cholera spread around the world in the early 1800s, but was treated later.
