While Curran knocked out Aaron Finch, Moeen Ali, and Virat Kohli, Chahar took the crucial wicket of ABD and then Chris Morris in the final over. Chennai who dominated through the first innings, made sure to not let the game slip in the second too. Rituraj Gaikwad who ended the game with a sparkling 6, shined through the innings as he powered his side to a win with 65* of 51 balls. Apart from the young batsman, Faf du Plessis contributed 25 of 13, Ambati Rayudu scored 39 of 27, and the CSK's skipper MS Dhoni too chipped in 19* of 21 balls.
