Batting first, SRH had a good solid start but were found guilty of not scoring quick runs. Captain David Warner scored 57 off 55 along with a 61 off 46 by Manish Pandey. Their total of 171/3 from 20 overs was a par score in New Delhi as Chennai Super Kings chased it down with ease. Openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis put on 129 for the opening wicket. While Faf scored a 38 ball 56, Gaikwad smashed 75 off 44 balls to help their side canter to a 7 wicket win. 5th straight victory for MS Dhoni's side as Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their 5th game in 6 matches in IPL 2021.
