The 1st Test between England and New Zealand ended in a draw after the hosts kept the Kiwi bowlers at bay on the 5th and final day of the match. Needing 273 to win in little more than 70 overs, English batters went for the draw as they scored 170/3 in their 2nd innings when the umpires called it a day. Earlier Kane Williamson took a bold step as he declared the Kiwi innings at 169/6 to give the visitors a fighting chance to win the 1st Test at Lord's. Devon Conway was awarded the player of the match for his double ton in the 1st innings for the Blackcaps. The 2nd Test will start in Birmingham on 10th June.
