Authorities are now cracking whip on careless tourists who are thronging popular stations in thousands amid Covid fears.
A day after a video of hundreds of maskless tourists making a splash at Mussourie's Kempty Falls went viral, officials said that only 50 tourists will now be allowed at the falls at a time and for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Similarly, Manali administration has also decided to act tough with tourists who flout Covid norms. The administration has imposed a fine of Rs. 5,000 or 8 days in jail for tourists who will be caught without face masks. The administration has taken strict action after several pictures of tourists flouting coronavirus guidelines in Manali surfaced.
