Indians love their Scotch whiskey and the UK Prime Minister wants to ensure that is cheaper for those in the subcontinent to drink it. One of the biggest demands from the United Kingdom is to lower tariffs on imported whiskey.
India is the world’s largest whiskey market and the second largest Scotch whiskey export market by volume. Scotch whiskey is just 2% share of the Indian whisky market and the 150% import tax imposed on it is hampering the growth as per the Scotch Whiskey Association.

New Delhi, which is notoriously reticent about lowering trade barriers and was dubbed the "tariff king" by former US president Donald Trump, wants in return to make it easier and cheaper for Indians to obtain British visas.
So will there be a trade, Whiskey for Visas? One will have to wait and watch.
