Tata Chief N Chandrasekaran appointed new chairman of Air India

N Chandrasekaran, the chairman of Tata Sons, has been officially appointed as the chairman of Air India even as the airline continues it's hunt for a CEO. The appointment was cleared at a board meeting held by Air India. 

Chandra who got is now in his second term as Tata Sons chairman went to the Air India headquarters in Delhi to look over the revival plans and progress.

Tata Sons is also expected to announce a new CEO for Air India to replace Turkish expat Ilker Ayci who resigned before officially taking charge due to controversies regarding his appointment.
