Key Nirav Modi aide extradited from Cairo

In the latest news in the $2 billion PNB scam, the  Central Bureau of Investigation has brought back Nirav Modi's close associate Subhash Shankar.

The CBI in a major operation following a four year old Red Corner Notice have got absconding diamantaire Nirav Modi's known aide Subhash Shankar who was in Cairo.

In 2018, the Interpol had issued a Red Corner Notice against Nirav, his brother Nishal Modi and his employee Subhash Parab on the request of the CBI.

In a Red Corner Notice,  the Interpol asks its 192 member countries to arrest or detain the person if spotted in their countries after which extradition or deportation proceedings can begin.
