Picture this: You're in a room full of America's most educated immigrants. Look around. Who do you think makes up the largest group?
If you guessed Indians, you're spot on! But the scale might surprise you.
According to an analysis by a US based think tank, MPI, Indians contribute a whopping 2 million degree holders to the US. That's 14% of all educated immigrants in the country!
To put that in perspective, China comes in second at 7.9%, while the Philippines takes third with 7%.
But here's the twist: Education doesn't always equal success. About 20% of these educated immigrants face a tough reality.
They're either unemployed or working in jobs well below their qualifications. Think degree holders driving taxis or washing dishes.
