Average home prices in India's top eight cities rose by 10% in the January-March quarter compared to the same period last year, as per a new report by CREDAI – Colliers - Liases Foras.

This increase in prices has been attributed to a strong demand, particularly in premium and luxury housing segments, across the country.

The highest price increase was observed in Bengaluru, with a surge of 19% to 10,377 rupees per square foot, followed by the Delhi-National Capital Region with a 16% increase to 9,757 rupees per square foot.

Within Delhi, the highest increase was observed along the Dwarka Expressway, registering a 23 per cent rise.

Ahmedabad and Pune also saw increases of 13% each to 7,176 rupees per square foot and 9,448 rupees per square foot, respectively.
