Indian aviation regulator DGCA has accepted the resumption plan submitted by crisis-hit Go First. However, the airline will have to comply to certain conditions.

DGCA said that it examined the resumption plan by Go First and the same has been accepted by them “subject to the outcomes of the writ petitions/applications” pending before the Delhi High Court and the (National Company Law Tribunal) NCLT.

DGCA's conditions

  1. Go First airline has to undertake a satisfactory handling flight before resuming operations
  2. Any change in the company that has any bearing on the resumption plan submitted by the RP must be notified to DGCA.
  3. Operations can resume only after the availability of required interim funding
  4. DGCA will have to approve the flight schedule before commencing ticket sales

Go First had announced on Thursday that the flights have been cancelled till July 23 due to operational reasons. The DGCA's permission for the resumption of flights comes after the airline scaled down its plan for resumption of flights by around 30% compared to its initial proposal after DGCA audit unveiled loopholes.
