According to IRCTC rules, Railways should provide a free meal and drink in trains if they are running late by more than two hours to the designated station.

Under this condition, passengers can choose from various options like breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, dinner depending on at what time the train is running late towards its designated destination.

Under the catering policy, this facility is given to the passengers of express trains that include Shatabdi, Rajdhani, and Duronto.
