LPG price hiked again, cylinder rates cross Rs 1,000 all over India

LPG cylinder prices hiked once again and with the latest revision, the price of the cooking gas cylinder has skyrocketed above Rs 1,000 all over the country. LPG prices for domestic cylinders were hiked by Rs 3.5/cylinder effective immediately. The price for the commercial use cylinder has been hiked by a steep Rs 8.

With the hike, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi and Mumbai is Rs 1,003, in Kolkata the domestic LPG cylinder will cost Rs 1,029, and in Chennai, it will cost Rs 1,018.5 from today.

This is the second hike in the month of May following the firming of the international energy rate. Since April 2021, prices have risen by over Rs 190 per cylinder.
