Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present the Union Budget 2022 on Tuesday, i.e February 1.
1. Tax relief measures for salaried employees who work from home owing to increased employment related-costs
2. A hike in deductions under 80c
3. Boost for affordable housing by changing the definition and tax rebates
4. Higher spending expected on healthcare, agriculture, logistics infrastructure, and education
5. Infrastructure and employment to be the main focus areas, followed by demand stimulation and welfare programmes
6. India is likely to set aside about Rs 3 lakh crore ($40 billion) on food and fertiliser subsidies
