Blinkit, the quick commerce platform, has introduced a 10-minute ambulance service in Gurugram, marking its initial step to address the urgent need for reliable ambulance services in cities.

The announcement was made by CEO Albinder Dhindsa on the social media platform X on Thursday, January 2.

"We are taking our first step towards solving the problem of providing quick and reliable ambulance service in our cities," Dhindsa said in his post.

The company has launched five ambulances in Gurugram, with plans for further expansion to other areas. "The first five ambulances will be on the road in Gurugram starting today. As we expand the service to more areas, you will start seeing an option to book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance through the @letsblinkit app," Dhindsa added.

In his post titled "Ambulance in 10 minutes," Dhindsa stressed the importance of public cooperation and the need to make way for ambulances. He highlighted that timely access to emergency services can make a significant difference in saving lives.
