With the upcoming festive season, a series of bank holidays are lined up for September. These occasions encompass occassions from religious observances and festivals to administrative functions.
As per the holiday calendar released by the Reserve Bank of India, a total of 12 official holidays are designated for the upcoming month, although they may differ from state to state. When factoring in Sundays and alternate Saturday leaves, this effectively culminates in 16 bank holidays throughout the approaching month.

September 28 – Eid-E-Milad/Eid-e-Meeladunnabi - (Prophet Mohammad's Birthday) (Bara Vafat) (Banks will be closed in Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Manipur, Uttara Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand)
September 29 – Indrajatra/Friday following Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi (Banks will remain closed in Sikkim, and Jammu and Srinagar)
Even on non-working days, online banking services and ATMs will remain operational throughout the country
