In a shocking incident, an Air India Pilot was found to be under the influence of alcohol after landing an international flight in Delhi. The airline has terminated the services of two pilots in response to the matter.

The entire incident took place last week when the Pilot flying an Air India flight from Phuket to Delhi tested positive on the breath analyser test upon arrival in India. Sources as quoted by the Times of India revealed that the airline is also looking into filing an FIR against the captain of the flight.

"We have zero tolerance for these things and have taken very strong action of not only terminating his service but are also planning to file an FIR as operating a flight under the influence of alcohol is a criminal act. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been informed," airline sources told the Times of India.

In 2022, the DGCA suspended nine pilots and thirty-two cabin crew members due to their failure to pass pre-flight breath analyser tests.
