Vistara has decided to temporarily reduce flight operations after the airline faced delays and cancellation of flights over the last few days.

“We have decided to temporarily reduce the number of flights we operate, to ensure adequate connectivity across our network”, a spokesperson said.

Vistara cited operational reasons including the unavailability of crew for the crisis and assured that it is working to stabilise the situations.

"We confirm that we have had a number of flight cancellations and unavoidable delays in the last few days due to various operational reasons," said the Vistara spokesperson.

"Our teams are tirelessly working to stabilizing the situation. We regret the inconvenience caused to our valued customers due to these disruptions," the spokesperson added.

Meanwhile, angry passengers took to Social media to complain about the long delays.

An X user Vignesh Murali in X said that the Bombay to Chennai flight was delayed by over 5 hours. Meanwhile Aarin Capital Partners Chairman Mohandas Pai has demanded a transparent approach from the airline.

Another X user Anshu Mor quipped that Visatara has adopted the Air India culture well. Vistara is co-owned by Tata Group and Singapore Airlines.

Early in March, the flight operations of Vistara were impacted at Delhi and Mumbai airports, mainly due to the non-availability of pilots.
