After Domestic LPG, Commercial LPG prices slashed by ₹ 158; govt exempts LPG imports from Agri Cess

In a big relief to consumers, Public sector Oil Marketing Companies have cut the price of the 19 KG commercial LPG gas cylinders by ₹ 158, reported ANI. This comes after the Central Government reduced the Domestic LPG prices by ₹ 200 on the eve of Raksha Bandhan.

As per the ANI report, the new prices will be effective from today and Delhi's retail sales price of 19kg commercial LPG cylinder will be ₹ 1,522.

Earlier in August, the OMCs cut the prices of commercial LPG by ₹ 99.75. In July the prices were increased by ₹ 7 each. Petroleum and oil marketing companies had on March 1 this year hiked the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by ₹ 350.50 per unit and domestic LPG cylinders by ₹ 50 per unit.

Meanwhile the government has exempted imports of LPG from 15% agri cess which will be effective from today. The government had in July imposed a 15% agri cess on imports of these goods.
