Big set back for the ruling party BJP in the panchayat polls in Uttar Pradesh as Samajwadi Party surges ahead.
Out of 40 seats in Ayodhya, the BJP got only six while Samajwadi Party led by former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has won 24 seats. Same fate in Mathura where the BJP got only eight of the 33 seats.
